Eleanor Slater Hospital Visitation Schedule

Visiting hours for each unit are listed below. Family members who have a contagious illness are asked to consider the frail nature of many of our patients and to act in accordance with sound health care practices relative to patient visitation.

• Zambarano Unit - Wallum Lake House
  11:00am to 8:00pm

• Cranston Campus - Regan, Mathias, and Virks Buildings
  12:00 noon to 8:00pm

• Cranston Campus - Adolph Meyer Building
  2:00pm to 8:00pm

  Children may visit under special arrangements made through the Supervising Registered Nurses Office, 401-462-2294.

• Cranston Campus - Pinel Building, Forensic Unit

  All visitors must be approved by the treatment team. The treatment team reviews the visitor list submitted by the patient. Once approved the visitors will be placed on the List of Approved Visitors.

  Family and friends may visit from 12:30pm - 2:30pm, and 3:30pm - 8:00pm, seven days per week. Most visits are non-contact visits. Contact visits do occur but must be pre-arranged and approved by the treatment team in advanced. Contact visits generally can occur once a month.

  • Visits cannot occur if the patient is attending a therapeutic group.

  • Anyone over the age of 12 can visit.

  • Visitors must present a photo ID.

  • Professional visits (such as attorney or clergy) can visit at any reasonable time.
